[[End of Stage 2!!]]

So glad that there will be officially no more Stage 2 evaluations for the rest of the year!!

I'm not sure how I got through this week, but it seemingly went by pretty so quick I could hardly believe at times that it indeed is already Friday.

Still have to go back to camp tomorrow to attend the boring external debrief though...

At least there's 3 days of off to look forward to next week. Really about time to take a well deserved break, especially after spending so much time out in the field feeding mosquitoes for the last 2 months or so.

But I have to say that this evaluation has probably been the most interesting for me. Got to meet some really interesting reservist scouts who left me in awe at their work rate, determination and combat fitness. Mind you, it ain't easy going through an ATEC Stage 2 when you're 30 and had accumulated fats around your tummy for the last few years or so.

Not to mention that they were a funny bunch of people. They may not be the most well-mannered or civilised people around, but talking to them certainly made me feel a sense of comfort which I usually don't find when conversing with people I've met for the first time.

Hopefully these reservist scouts would get the result that bring justice to the amount of hard work they put in. It certainly wasn't easy for them, especially when they had some really incompetent officers in their battalion doing the planning.

Lesson learnt: team spirit and a never-say-die attitude definitely can't be bought, certainly can't be taught using textbooks.

Really sick of work recently. If only there can be a long, long break now...

It's weird sometimes that when one is given work which he/she ain't have much interest in doing, others start presuming that the person would go out and f**k the whole thing up.

Look, while I do acknowledge that such people are around, I DO NOT belong to this particular species. I may complain, I may remonstrate, or I may evenly voice my discontentment, but that does not mean I will purposely screw up.

360 days to ORD. It ain't gonna get any further, eh?

Another Stage 2 evaluation starts tomorrow.

Man, am I starting to be bored the shit out of me. Either that or this work leaves me so stressed up sometimes it's reaching the breaking point.

At least it's an armour unit being evaluated tomorrow. A new experience and chance to see quite a number of tanks moving around. But much more work for the scout team though. Seven teams instead of the usual six an infantry battalion has.

Hopefully work can be wrapped up on Friday evening. So used to staying out that the thought of staying in camp, not to even mention outfield, is something very much taboo to me.

Seems like I've been enjoying my NS life too much, eh? Not very much so if you were me.

I mean, really, the only good thing about this unit is staying out. Of course, during lull periods it's pretty much slacking and bumping round the office, but when work comes...well, just like the weather here. It never rains. It pours.

Gonna enjoy this last hour or so in the comfort zone of home. It will be more than 3 days later before I get to rest my head on my own pillow.

Oh yeah, 3 more days till I've finished serving a year. One down, one more to go!! Yeah, baby!!
