Man...it's been a long time since I last updated this.

Nothing much to update except that my leg's getting better and I'm given a walking cast that is supposed to cost like 200-over bucks. Damn, that thing really looks expensive.

And so now I travel to camp everyday looking weird with my left leg wearing a running shoe and my right leg wearing that thing. At least I don't walk with a limp with that.

Hopefully the recovery will speed up. The doc said usually it would take another 4 weeks, 2 being the fastest. Can't wait for all the courses I have to attend to be over and done with and get settled with my unit vocation. No doubt time passes more quickly while going on courses, but I like my unit life.

Got the news a couple of weeks ago that my estate and another on the opposite side of mine will have to move out by 2008 in an en bloc exercise. I'm inclined to think that it's going to be something new and exciting for me because I have never moved house before. And also, it might just really be about time to move to a place newer because the estate I'm in don't look like they can be upgraded or renovated.

But then again, we are given choices of flats in parts of Jurong West which were left empty for a few years because no one bought them. I must say it's a really smart move by the authorties to think of this way to not only solve the problem of unoccupany in those flats, but to get these nice big pieces of land for redevelopment without facing too much problems in relocating the residents.

I know my father would always be reluctant to move anywhere if there wasn't any en bloc exercise. He might even live here forever if he could. It's nice to be moving to somewhere new, but it would be better if convenience and surrounding facilities were not compromised, which I have to say is the biggest disadvantage of the choices of flats given.

What's more, you are taking a flat which people had rejected in the first place. Doesn't feel too good about being a "second choice", yeah?

But I'm looking forward to it. It's a good chance to make my own house look slightly more presentable. The current state of it, frankly speaking, looks beyond redemption. And it's also an opportunity to clear away loads and loads of stuff that are more or less either useless or unwanted but still hanging around for years and collecting dirt and dust.

And if I could place the PC in my room, which seems likely given the comments that the living rooms are pretty small, that's going to be an additonal bonus too.

All right, think I've said enough for now. Hopefully it won't be another few weeks before I feel like having the mood to update this. Time to transform into a couch potato again.
