It's been a very weird week. Let's start off with Monday proper.

Set off for HQ 3 Guards (Bedok Camp) early in the morning in preparation for their ATEC Stage 2 evaluation. And upon my horror, I was told that we were only going to move out the next morning. And the location is in Lim Chu Kang, instead of Tekong, which I was told earlier by my superiors.

Quite frankly, it was a day wasted there besides other than spending most of the time sleeping I did almost absolutely NOTHING. And when I did have something to do...

I ended up having 3 stitches on my left hand. It's kinda difficult to describe how it really happened in words, so let's just leave it at that. Just plain luckless.

So, I was given orders to go back to my unit and STAY IN (what the hell...) until the exercise is over. I mean, it's good that I was given time off to rest and things like that, but why not rest at home? It was so dead boring in camp. No cable TV, very bare Internet access and a bunk that looks far from suggesting that Singapore is actually NOT a third-world country. Damn...

The weekend was much better though. Was out almost the whole of yesterday. Jethro and his new band, The Unexpected, was invited to perform a few songs for the closing ceremony of a joint JC, Poly and ITE student workshop (or seminar, whatever) at RJC.

And I have to say that quite a number of RJC girls are a wonderful combination of beauty and brains. Life can be so unfair sometimes huh?

Anyway, the Education Minister was there to grace the event for, let me see...15 minutes? Baiscally, he was there to just give a speech and unveil a banner. Which I have to say, he must be really thankful for because the event that was staged immediately after he left was a really senseless "fashion" parade.

I don't wanna sound mean or not giving any credit to the students but it was simply awful and painful to sit through. A good thing that the musical performances were much better.

Daphne Khoo's band, West Grand Boulevard, was there to perform too. Remember her from Singapore Idol? Yeah, that was her. It's not often you find bands whereby the lead vocalist is outshined by the other members, but this was an example. I mean, she ain't that bad a singer but the drummer was really cool and the lead guitarist energetic.

Came back not too long ago from meeting up with some secondary school buddies. Been quite some time since I last saw them. A lot of catching up to do, and hopefully there will be more time to do so since most have ORD-ed (damn freaking jealous).

Another busy week ahead, after which I'll be going back for bike course again.

Can't wait for June to come by...
