[[Suffering In Silence, Please Endure & Carry on]]

Happy Boxing Day to everyone!!

Haha...can't quite believe that Christmas has come and gone by so quickly. I haven't even thoroughly enjoyed myself yet!! Can somebody please rewind the time?

It kinda feels strange that Christmas had fallen on a Sunday. Can't seem to remember anytime in my whole life it fell on a Sunday. Just feels the combination is a little weird but don't know why. It's not so bad actually, cos I get an extra holiday.

But I'm gonna book in at 2130 hours today!! That's less than 20 hours away!!

Darn. I really hate booking in. Getting really sick of army life. No money, no time, no freedom. Sighx. Sometimes you fail to properly appreciate civilian life while still holding on to that coverted pink IC till the moment it leaves your possession for 2 years in exchange for a pretty ugly green one.

Did I ever mention that I hate the photo on my 11B? Oh well, I think I just did.

Never mind about that. This Christmas had been a pretty good one. Met up with some of my poly pals for a meal, talk cock session and some LAN gaming. We even bumped into Summer at Plaza Sing. What a coincidence that was. The good old days....

When guys serving the army gather, the army topic never leaves their mouths. It's such a common, interesting (sometimes I don't really get it, but it is), engaging topic that never fails to spring itself up whenever botaks come together.

Life in SISPEC has been quite ok so far. I guess cos it's the first 2 weeks, that's why everything is going at a much slower pace. Food is so much better compared to Tekong, everything in the bunk is new. And the phenomenal part is that no matter how much effort you put into sweeping the floor, dustballs simply "reproduce" themselves 5 minutes later. Oh yeah, we don't even have a dustbin in the bunk. So much for being new.

Not to mention I was the first to get pumped (not humped, if that's what you're thinking) in my platoon. For what, you ask. For replying my sergeant too softly, that's what it was for. What the hell...

I'm, by nature, a soft-spoken and refined person, alright? Don't laugh! It's clearly stated in my secondary school testimonial ok? Don't play play man!

So looking forward to the New Year break. And so luckily it's gonna fall on a Sunday, which means another extra holiday! Damn, are we really lucky to have so many holidays. It's amazing how things can piece itself together so nicely at times.

So much to do, not enough time to rest...

21 more months to ORD!!!!!

[[Oh F**K...it's really SISPEC!!]]

Guess what? It's really a nightmare come true.

Posted to SISPEC!!! OH MY FREAKING GOD!!!

Damn...that's 1 of the last places I wanna get posted to. I mean...what's the point of asking me where I want to be posted to when, in the end, you posted me to somewhere I said I don't want to?

I understand that it's not easy, or rather, impossible to comply to everyone's wishes, but...

At least SISPEC is now in Pasir Laba. That's 1 comforting factor you can have when you're posted to somewhere near home.

Anyway, I've watched like 3 movies this week. And guess what, I've already The Chronicles of Narnia!! Hahaha...and it's not from a pirated VCD or DVD or whatever.

The best part of it is I paid only 12 ringgit to watch Narnia. Lolx...alright I watched it at Genting. Was really surprised that they released the show earlier than Singapore, but who cares? So long as I got to watch it. Too bad the rest of you have to wait till 22 December. Hehz =P

Oh yeah, I recommend Pride and Prejudice too. And it's not just for Kiera Knightley (though I must admit she's really pretty). It's got a really nice setting about it and very funny too. And yes, it's pretty romantic and teaches a lot about life.

It's going to be an exciting 2006. There's Pirates of the Carribean 2, The Da Vinci Code, and the World Cup!! Gosh...I can't wait for next year to come.

And before I go, an advanced Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Just in case I'm stuck and confined in SISPEC. Sighx...

SISPEC = Suffer In Silence Plus Extra Confinement

What the F**K?!?!?!

[[Once a Recruit, now a Private!]]

I'm now officially promoted from a bloody Recruit to a Private!!

And that means I get to keep my hair much longer~!! Yay~!!

Haha....that's besides the point. Anyway, yesterday was my Passing Out Parade (POP) from BMT. How the 13 weeks have flown by. I could still vividly remember the first time I stepped into Pulau Tekong. Having to lug the heavily-laden duffer bag to the 4th storey, that dreaded haircut and lots more.

It feels good that I don't have to travel to Pasir Ris every Sunday just to book in. It's really a chore when you have to step time waiting for the bus and ferry and still have to march back to the company line when you're there.

For now, it's leisure and relax until 19th December. Posting will be out on the 16th. I wonder where I will get posted to. I guess OCS looks like a very distant possibility now, and I have a sickening feeling I might just be thrown into SISPEC though I had indicated my preference not to go there. Well...what can you do if they give you a vocation you do not want? Come to think of it, it's not so easy to post every single individual to a unit or vocation of their choice. You have so many of them around.

I just hope I won't be posted to become a Guardsman or things like that. Damn...watch me curse and swear if I get that.

Anyway, last Friday was my graduation route march. A hefty 24-kilometre route march. Surprisingly, it didn't feel as tiring as the 12-kilometre march. Perhaps marching in the evening and night is alot easier than in the hot afternoon. And I suffered abrasions and rashes on my inner thighs. Quite a sensitive area, to say the least. But it was worth it, seeing how everyone gave their best to last through the whole distance and singing happily as we walked. It certainly was a very memorable event.

And not to forget that after the march, I fell sick and till now still am feeling the effects. The fever, cough and sore throat are pretty much gone, but the flu is here to stay. Sighx...

Looking forward to meeting up with friends during this long-awaited break. There's so much to catch up with each other. And I especially miss those slacking sessions. Hopefully there will also be time to go to the beach and unwind.

Oh yeah, can't forget to congragulate 1 of my buddies from DMC, Joel. Scorpion Company's Best Recruit and Best PT. Way to go man~!! Knew you could do it, and I'm sure all of us are proud of your achievement.

And I'm gonna miss my BMT buddies too. Though knowing each other for only 13 weeks, it already seems like most of us are old pals. The time spent together certainly was memorable, and hopefully I'll see some of them in the same vocation as mine.

Alrighty, time to sign off. 12 more hours and Man United will be playing Benfica. My crystal ball says it's going to be 0-2 to Man United. Just watch out, Man United is back~!!

Haha...till the next time~!!
