The time has finally come~!!
Yes~!! It's my turn to enlist for NS. Woohoo~!! FINALLY my turn~!! Hehz
I sound like a real enthusiastic soldier wannabe huh? Lolx...actually it's not really that. Just that the thought of me really starting to age and not having served NS is kinda, well...scary.
I suppose I'm gonna suffering like hell. No thanks to 3 years of poly education whereby there is no compulsory PE lessons. The only sport I regularly dabble in for the last 3 years? Pool, if you even consider it a sport.
Sigh...what to do? Too late for regrets. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. NS won't kill anyway. Only thing is the 2 years came at a wrong time.
But hey, it's really hard to say. I might just turn it into a career. If I get the chance to be an officer, that is. If not, signing on will never be an option. The money is pretty good, prospects are there (if you fight for it), it might just be one of the more challenging careers around...
And I still dream of, one day, being the Guard-of-Honour during the NDP. The smart uniform, cohesive marching, firing salute...damn. What pride you can savour being part of the parade as Guard-of-Honour.
But first of all, have to endure 3 months as a bloody dog. Where everyday what you do is precisely what people tell you to.
Gonna miss a whole lot of things. Like freedom, mum's cooking, live soccer matches. Speaking of which, I'm going to miss the Manchester derby this weekend~!! Argh~!!! And the Champions League~!! OH NO~!!!!!
How can life be complete without soccer? It's not even a sport, it's a bloody religion. The Army should provide us with some live screening of soccer. We are, afterall, men. What else can be more enjoyable than to have a huge group of guys shouting and swearing with lots of passion while watching a live EPL match?
Anyway, it's almost time to go. Going to meet some friends for dinner at Fosters. Haven't been to the place again ever since I quitted the job there a few years back. I'm sure the food is still as good as it was.
Will be back in 2 weeks time. Till then, take care everyone~!! *sMiLeZ*
Welcome to Cheng-xun's Blog. Call me CX if you want. I think that saves loads of trouble for people. Graduated with a Diploma in Media & Communication from SP, currently serving (quite reluctantly) the nation and hoping to go to Australia for further studies one day.

I love music and I love food. I love writing but I'm not that good. Soccer is my first love for a long time, but it can't take me through the rest of my life. Would you? *winkz*

Save the hate you have for this world, and you'll probably find it a much better place to live in.
