[[Luckless...]]

Why do I get a sickening feeling that 31st August is actually Friday the 13th in disguise?

It was my last day of work at SingTel, and supposedly, it was going to be a fantastic day. Because I'm finally going to have some time to myself. To rest and relax. To do whatever I want.

But................

Nothing seemed to go right the moment I woke up!!

And below is an incredible list of unfortunate events that literally turned what was supposed to be a great day upside down.

1. Overslept. By almost 50 minutes, to be exact.

2. Encountered a massive traffic jam after Eng Neo exit. No thanks to a terrible crash between what seemed like a Toyota Corrolla and a City Cab taxi. Wasted more time.

3. Because of the time wasted, had to pay ERP of $0.25 (!!) as I passed it after 7:30am.

4. Picked up a call from an irritating bitch (oops) who asked for this and that, and this and that. If not willing to comply, threatened to terminate the mobile line at the end of the contract. What a moron.

5. Was supposed to go for a KTV session with 3 of my best colleagues, but one had something cropped up at the last minute.

6. Bike ran out of petrol on PIE (PIE again?!?!) near Eng Neo exit (what?!?!). Thank god for the reserve tank.

7. Saw another accident, the car seemingly being hit left, right, centre, whatever, while on my way to petrol station.

8. Oil price increased for the third week running.

There you go. Really a crappy day, isn't it?

But of course, there are the positives. Like the last 4 hours or so of my time at SingTel, I was actually at another department doing something different and accompanying my colleague. Was a real great time and experience.

And after work, though the KTV session didn't materialise, the evening wasn't that bad afterall. Went to play snooker with another colleague, Anthony. Then went to slack and have dinner, and returned to play pool. Haha...what a life.

And yes, really thank god for the reserve tank. Can you imagine having to push a bike from Eng Neo all the way to Boon Lay? What the hell...as Clarence said, by the time I reached home it's almost time to enlist!! Duhz~...

But anyway, it's probably one of those one-off things. Worse things could have happened, and at least I was able to draw some positives out of the negatives.

Yeah...that's the key in life. Being able to find something positive out of something negative.

Time check. 7 more days to enlistment~!! Can't wait for that day to come.

But I'll miss my hair~!! Argh...
